Warning: PERSONAL OPINION - I am with you

Warning: PERSONAL OPINION over I'm with you

Since has passed some days and I had the opportunity of listen the album a couple of times, now I can give my feedback about it.
#01 - The album is greater than I would imagine.
#02 - I miss the layers of music - I really miss 'em (not by the complexity, but for the art). Watch Factory of Faith, that's ok, good music, very nude style and for me that's the problem. This music could have more layers of sound and voices. I dunno, all this are just my dumb opinion.
I finish it with Kiedis afirmation: "there is no question – this is a beginning"

John Frusciante riffing in guitar center

I dunno if it's new or old ( I guess it's new because of the youtube video date and the post date too)

"Warning: video is soft, CRANK IT UP!!!! or listen with headphones for total transcendence Well long story short at my local guitar center last friday I was checking out some classic strats when none other than my idol and guitar hero John Frusciante walked in. Luckily for me the store wasn’t crowded and he apparently was a regular there so the employees just greeted him with a casual welcome. I approached him and told him that he’s the main reason I play today, and he is my biggest influence. I then asked him for an autograph but he said he had something better in mind. He then took an ultra expensive 70′s strat from the wall and asked me to follow him to the vintage room, where the sound would be good. He told me to record him playing using my phone. John then went over to a marshall stack and proceeded to improvise with otherworldly ability. Thank you John for a great day!!! ps sorry about the screen, it’s only audio. I wanted to share this with everyone as soon as I could."

The right model to get some money from the music

The Current Model on the Music

Today is very hard to see someone buying Audio CD on the stores, most of people, now, are buying tracks on the Internet. Unfortunately the most of guys goes by piracy, downloading the albums over the Internet. The bands have notice that and then they are increasing theirs ratio of shows. The main money comes from live shows.

The Artists & Their Lifes

Think: You have a World Tour around the world. Awesome, you will know the world, new places, new cultures! Well, it's not like that... you are working, you don't have enough time to visit places, to know people. Now you are away from home and a little tired. You are pretty happy, because people are watching and enjoying your show. It's not so happiness... there is a another weights.

John Frusciante

You should be asking what the Frusciante has with all this? In his interviews, Frusciante lets clear his position about make Studio Album and make Live Shows. Firstly, we have to keep in mind that John Frusciante doesn't make art, primarily, thinking in money. Secondly we also must think that the fans of Frusciante loves to buy his new CD! Frusciante is one of the last real artists on the world. How much I heard him, I will more respect his position and apreciate his art. Look that: "Sucking on a rhyme, you know I don't feel right. These dreams they steal all my time." Goals - John Frusciante

"Go... don't you go?
Won't you stay with me one more day?
if we get through one more night"

The last couple of days...

Most of you guys have been noticed these last days I'm too lazy to write something here...
This is true in part.... however there is also the fact of lack of mine inspirations.
Lately I'm not absorving nothing that could give some good text.
I'll try to write something good (intersting|new) in next days.
The obligation turns the things more ugly.
The lack of discipline turns thing more wrong.
Ohh I'm getting freaky! :P
The point is bring back the good post.
And stop to post just non-sense posts...
Bye.

The new music busines model at Internet age

I personaly think that the only way to get some money with music in nowdays is going on tour around the world. I believe that Madonna gets much more money with his shows than with cd sales.
At this right moment (03-05-09 22:10PM) the Backstreet Boys are at São Paulo - Brazil, making a show and maybe they got much more money with shows than CD sales too.
In this same month (March) more and more artists will go to Brazil and N other Countries "get money" in this new way, some bands:
Radiohead
Kiss
A-Ha
Simply Plain
and others... (that I forgot)

Many year ago I should wait a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time to see any loved band of mine, now they don't sell CD's so they came to make shows in so different places.
This is the reflect of what the most people says on CD release date: "I don't buy CD, I just download it from Internet."
This is the new model. Well, all this is my personal opinion. (It's sure that the bands get money with CD however isn't like that years without Internet use.)
Just to remember you, the music isn't only about the money! And I still buying CD's to support my favorite master piece makers.
if you have a band, release your music (CD) and go to make some shows... that is the way !

After all is super fun... the poor people (like me) buy a ticket for U$ 85,00 to heard the band live once one time but don't pay anything by CD's.

Another analysis is the confront: CD vs DVD (what sell more?)
The people seems to agree that is more fair buy a DVD than a CD, maybe we give more value to image with sound than just sound.
(just to remember the Chili Peppers doesn't release any DVD from the S.A. tour... it's funny about the S.A. tour, I'd rather the S.A CD than the By The way CD but the BTW tour was totally better in all therms... I'm missing my point here)
Is not the music that lose their monetary values is the Media that lost the value. The world change the models too (look the 2007 year the VideoGame industry got more profits than Movie industry).
BUT ONE MORE TIME, MUSIC ISN'T ONLY ABOUT MONEY.

Take Me On

Yesterday I was watching the Family Guy tv series on which Chris Griffin was sucked to a A-Ha video clip (Take Me On) in that time I thougth: "We can build what we like and beyond this we can show what inspires us and made what we are today inside our own job! (little tributes)" Family Guy does it Simpsons also and much more too! With these little tributes we can know better what we are enjoying! I love it! Then tell me what you love to: see, feel, eat, play, heard...

Lions & Tigers come running just to steal your luck

The stadium arcadium makes me very happy, the first time I've heard it I choose Especially In Michigan as my favorite music from the entire Album. Today I would say which my favorite is Wet Sand. The fact is: this disc was released in May 9, 2006, and we are on Fev 5, 2009, almost four years (It's a long time). No official news about chili peppers, just "we're on hiatus" or "there's no plan", many speculation already shows up: the band's end, John Frusciante out of the band, disconnection between the members...

And what I think? I just think they gave a lot of music to us, if they split or something else, we can't complain... About the end or not I have my doubts in both sides! If the band ends or Frusciante get out of band I'll miss them to much!

I quoted four years as much time because the actual busines model to bands isn't sell discs but do live shows (tours) around the world.

Understanding The Empyrean Album From John Frusciante

At the last post John Frusciante talks about some amazing and cool things.
Firstly he gaves some guidelines to understand the lyrics from The Empyrean album.
And saids the important sentence: "I avoided discussing any of this in the small amount of press I did."
It was visible to all that John almost never wants to talk about the lyrics meaning. (and your religion view too)
One more sentence:
"
I’m just explaining the way I see the outline, but the contents and the details remain open to interpretation."
So we always will have the power (good/bad) to interpret his lyrics...
The essence of art is that, you understand something I take another view and all things is fine (not rigtht or wrong).
I'm anxious to heard it... (It's a pain wait for mail delevery this cd to me, I almost buy the downloadble cd...)

The meaning of the Art is
  • SEE/HEARD/READ IT FOR YOURSELF
  • TRY TO FEEL IT
  • AFTER THAT YOU CAN READ ABOUT ANOTHER VIEWS OF THAT
"Before to read the guru's book write yours." (SEIXAS, Raul)
