The Red Hot Chili Peppers will attendee on rock and roll of fame and they've included, past
drummers Jack Irons and Cliff Martinez but guitarist John Frusciante, however, will not be there.
"He
didn't feel comfortable coming, which we totally respect," Smith
says. "We asked him... He said, 'I'm just not really comfortable
with that, but good luck and thanks for inviting me.' It was all
good. He's the kind of guy, I think, that once he's finished with
something he's just on to the next phase of his life. The Chili
Peppers are not really on his radar right now."

that's a bummer. but i get it. he was never into that part of the music industry. i'm glad he isn't, thou. it almost guarantees that his music will always come from the heart. you'll never say "wow, john really had an personal agenda with that new song, uh?"
ReplyDeletethanks for the info and the site.

I totally agree with Vincent.
ReplyDeleteI am in constant awe of this guy's independence, creativity, devotion to music, not to fame.
