Enclosure - New John Frusciante Album

"Enclosure, upon its completion, was the record which represented the achievement of all the musical goals I had been aiming at for the previous 5 years. It was recorded simultaneously with Black Knights’ Medieval Chamber, and as different as the two albums appear to be, they represent one investigative creative thought process. What I learned from one fed directly into the other. Enclosure is presently my last word on the musical statement which began with PBX."

John Frusciante

Scratch”, the first song recorded during the Enclosure sessions and written during The Empyrean sessions, is available below as a free hi-quality source audio download and MP3.

  1. Scratch is an appropriately brilliant piece of music for this late date. Think back to the music of the late 1980's. From that vantage point, how would you imagine music to sound in the year 2014. This is what music should sound like in 2014? I love it. It's the future come true, a brilliant admixture of crunchy and frenetic nerve endings, with the velvety stimulus inherent in electricity. Save a place in the collection at the Whitney, because they need this piece Scratch.
